The African Forum and Network on Debt and Development (AFRODAD) offers a six-month internship program for aspiring professionals. This program provides hands-on experience in policy, research, advocacy, campaigns, communication, finance, human resources, administration, and monitoring and evaluation, contributing to Africa's economic justice agenda. Interns will work with experienced professionals, enhancing their understanding of debt management, development finance, and sustainable development, and strengthening analytical, research, communication, and leadership skills. Ten internship positions are available across various departments.

The internship offers hands-on experience in policy research, advocacy, and campaign management; exposure to African economic development issues, debt management, and public finance; development of analytical, research, writing, and presentation skills; and insights into working within a Pan-African Civil Society Organisation. Eligibility
Applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Data Science, Development Economics, Economics, International Development, International Relations, Law, or Statistics. Candidates should possess strong analytical and written skills, as well as strong public speaking abilities. A good understanding of African perspectives on development and finance, and a passion to advance Africa’s agenda on the global stage, are essential. The ability to work remotely where necessary is required, with AFRODAD providing necessary support. Proficiency in English is required, and French is also necessary for positions based in Cameroon. Applicants should demonstrate a desire and effort to learn and grow professionally. Ethiopian students are eligible to apply.
