Overview

The Brandtech Group AI for Good Scholarship 2026 offers a fully funded opportunity for innovative young African leaders actively contributing in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This program, a collaboration between The Brandtech Group and One Young World, will select five outstanding young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3-6. The summit aims to explore the latest AI opportunities and challenges, focusing on how AI can address issues like climate change, education access, productivity, and combat misinformation, virtual hate, and social harm. Scholars will lead initiatives related to AI usage during the international summit.

Coverage

This is a fully funded scholarship. It covers airfare to and from Cape Town, South Africa, hotel accommodation, meals, and ground transportation during the summit. Participants will also receive free access to the One Young World Summit 2026 and access to Pencil AI, a generative AI SaaS platform, for creative production and distribution. After the summit, scholars will gain permanent membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community and join the Alumni network of Brandtech AI for Good. They will also have access to expert-led mentor sessions to develop their ideas into practical solutions and participate in the One Young World Global Kickstart program to enhance leadership skills.

Eligibility

* Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old. * Candidates must be nationals and residents of any African country. * Applicants must have proven AI initiatives in Africa. * Candidates should demonstrate leadership capacity and a commitment to promoting the responsible use of AI. * Young leaders should have a proven record of offering useful and innovative solutions using AI to address one or more of the five theme pillars of the summit. * Applicants should possess a good understanding of local and/or global issues. * Candidates must be willing to interact and engage with fellow scholarship candidates and the management of The Brandtech Group.
