Overview

The CareerFitter Online Scholarship, sponsored by CareerFitter, offers $1000 to support undergraduate and graduate students in their education and career exploration. Established in 2003, this scholarship aims to help students find a well-fitting career path.

Coverage

The scholarship provides a $1000 award. The funds will be sent via check directly to the recipient's accredited US college or university. These funds are intended to cover qualified college expenses, including tuition, fees, books, and on-campus room and board for the current academic year.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to domestic, international, and undocumented students, making Ethiopian students eligible to apply. Applicants must be currently enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited US college or university. Students attending online universities are also welcome. A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.4 is required. There is no specific major required for this award.

Requirements

Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to take CareerFitter’s career test. The application requires completing a brief questionnaire about CareerFitter and submitting an essay of a maximum of 700 characters (not words). The essay must answer the question: "What is the perfect career for you and why?" All submitted essays must be original work of the applicant. Only one submission per student per scholarship is allowed.

How to apply

To apply, students must complete the application form available on the CareerFitter scholarship page. This form requires providing your Full Name, Email Address, Phone Number, College or University Name, and College or University Mailing Address and Phone Number. You must also submit the brief questionnaire and your essay, and confirm acceptance of the terms and conditions.

Notes

The application deadline is October 31st, 2026. A winner will be selected by a panel of judges from CareerFitter and notified via email and/or phone call in November 2026. The scholarship is available on a yearly basis and is non-renewable. For any questions regarding the scholarship, you can contact [email protected]. CareerFitter will not knowingly sell, share, rent, or transfer applicant information, except as outlined in their Privacy Policy. Winners may be asked for permission to post their name and school on CareerFitter.com or in other communications related to the scholarship program. Applicants unsure about their school's accreditation can use the US Department of Education’s search tool.
