Overview

The Chick-fil-A Community Scholars program, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, Inc., provides scholarships to support the education and leadership development of students. Each year, thirteen (13) scholarships of up to $25,000 are awarded based on academic success, community service, and financial need. Recipients also participate in a one-year leadership development and mentoring program alongside other Chick-fil-A Scholars. The scholarship supports undergraduate or graduate study at any accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school.

Coverage

Selected scholars will receive an award of up to $25,000 (USD). These funds can be used for tuition, fees, books, and other education-related expenses incurred at an accredited institution in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada. Scholarship checks are made payable directly to the school and cannot be used for student loans or refunded to students. In addition to the financial award, recipients engage in a year-long leadership development and mentorship program. Awards are one-time only, but recipients can request to disburse their award over a period of one (1) to six (6) years. Any unused funds after six years will be forfeited.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to undergraduate or graduate students, or those planning to enroll in undergraduate or graduate study, at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the 2027-2028 academic year. Applicants must demonstrate academic success, financial need, and have shown care through community service within the twelve (12) months prior to application. Importantly, applicants are NOT required to be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada; international students attending college in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada are eligible to apply. Individuals granted deferred action status under DACA are also eligible. Chick-fil-A employees, dependents/spouses of employees, or Operators are not eligible. Past recipients may not reapply.

Requirements

Applicants are evaluated based on academic success, demonstrated community service, and financial need. Specific required documents are not clearly stated in the provided content but typically include academic transcripts, essays, and proof of community involvement.
