Overview

The Discover Niagara Cultural Exchange Program 2026 is an international 4-day initiative held in the Niagara Region, Canada, from August 24-27, 2026. It aims to provide youth with an exciting opportunity for cultural exchange, leadership development, and community engagement, bringing together over 50 participants from around the world to explore Canadian culture and build global connections.

Coverage

The program offers both fully funded and partially funded opportunities. Fully funded participants will have their round-trip airfare, accommodation, meals, local transportation, program costs, all activities and entrance fees, and an official invitation letter covered. The program aims to select 10 fully funded and 40 partially funded participants.

Eligibility

This program is open to applicants from around the world, including Ethiopian students. There are no specific academic or professional background restrictions. Applicants should have the ability to communicate in English (no certificate required), a strong interest in Canadian culture and history, and be active on social media. Previous travel experience is preferred.

Notes

The program runs from August 24-27, 2026. Participants will engage in activities such as guided exploration of Niagara Falls, a boat tour, a Toronto city tour, interactive cultural activities, camp-style social events, cultural nights, and simulation games. The two most active participants may receive a helicopter tour over Niagara Falls. All participants will receive a Cultural Ambassador Certificate upon completion. Applicants not selected for in-person participation may have the opportunity to join online sessions, participate in interactive seminars, and receive a certificate.
