Overview

The France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Program is a prestigious French Government scholarship designed for outstanding international students who wish to pursue Master's or Doctoral degrees in France. It aims to promote French higher education globally and attract future foreign decision-makers to study in priority fields. The program is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and operated by Campus France.

Coverage

This is a fully-funded scholarship. For Master's students, it provides a monthly allowance of €1,200 (starting January 2026). For PhD students, it offers a monthly stipend of €2,000 (starting January 2026). Additionally, the scholarship covers international and national transport, health insurance, assistance with accommodation, and access to cultural activities.

Eligibility

Applicants must be international students residing outside France at the time of application (for Master's level). For the Doctoral level, candidates already studying in France may be eligible, but priority is given to those residing outside France. Applicants must have an outstanding academic record. Applications must be submitted exclusively through French higher education institutions. Only accredited degree programs at the Master's, Engineering, or Doctoral level are eligible. Continuing education, apprenticeship contracts, and professional training programs are not eligible.

Requirements

Demonstrate an outstanding academic record. Secure admission to an eligible Master's, Engineering, or Doctoral program at a French higher education institution. The application must be formally submitted by the chosen French institution to Campus France.

How to apply

1. Choose your institution: Identify a French university or school that offers your desired Master's, Engineering, or Doctoral program. Contact their international office for information on deadlines and application procedures. 2. Apply to the institution: Submit your application directly to the chosen French institution. Clearly state your interest in being nominated for the France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship. 3. Institution submits application: If the institution accepts your application and deems you eligible for the scholarship, they will then submit your scholarship application to Campus France online on your behalf. 4. Further information: For more details, visit the official Campus France website or contact Campus France in your home country or the French Embassy.

Notes

The scholarship duration varies: up to 12 months for Master's M2, up to 24 months for Master's M1, up to 36 months for an Engineering Degree, and 12, 18, or 36 months for a PhD, depending on the applicant’s doctoral enrollment status. The program aims to train future foreign decision-makers in key priority areas for both public and private sectors.
