Ellison Scholars Program 2027 in UK | Fully Funded Scholarship

The Ellison Scholars Program 2027 is a fully funded scholarship in the UK for graduate students, specifically those pursuing doctoral (PhD/DPhil) studies. It is offered by the Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT) in collaboration with the University of Oxford. The program aims to support young scholars who are passionate about solving critical global issues through technology and innovation. Key focus areas include health and medical science, climate change, clean energy, food security, sustainable agriculture, government innovation, and artificial intelligence. The program will provide 50 PhD scholarships for international students.

This is a fully funded scholarship. It covers the full tuition fees for doctoral study at the University of Oxford. Scholars will also receive a generous annual monthly stipend to cover accommodation, food, and other living expenses. Additionally, the scholarship includes coverage for any travel required by the program and initial set-up funds for purchasing new technology needed for studies. Scholars will benefit from mentorship by world-leading experts, access to state-of-the-art EIT facilities, and specialized training experiences.

This scholarship is open to international students from all over the world, including Ethiopian citizens. Applicants must meet the specific entry requirements for their chosen doctoral course at the University of Oxford. Candidates should either possess or be on track to receive the necessary qualifications required by Oxford University. An excellent academic record and demonstrated outstanding academic achievements are essential. Applicants must show strong research potential, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to critically apply knowledge to solve complex challenges. Furthermore, applicants should demonstrate alignment with their chosen EIT project through relevant research and innovation experience, a genuine interest in the project, and a well-matched research proposal. Applicants are typically required to submit the following documents: * Curriculum Vitae (CV) * Valid Passport * Academic Transcripts * English Language Certificate * Contact details for three referees * A Research Proposal (maximum 1000 words) * A Portfolio of up to ten entries * Any other relevant documents as specified. Applicants must demonstrate skills aligned with their chosen research areas, which may include fields such as computer science, artificial intelligence, economics, mathematics, robotics, plant sciences, machine learning, chemistry, biology, engineering, medicine, or microbiology.

Selected candidates who receive a conditional offer of funding from EIT will then be invited to apply directly to the University of Oxford for the relevant course between January and March 2027. Final confirmation as a Graduate Ellison Scholar depends on receiving an offer from the University of Oxford through its independent admissions process.

Approximately 50 PhD scholarships will be awarded. Graduate Ellison Scholars will be announced and onboarded in April 2027, with studies commencing at the University of Oxford in October 2027. The Ellison Institute of Technology specifically funds doctoral (DPhil/PhD) study at the University of Oxford.
