Overview

The FASPE (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics) Fellowships are intensive, two-week programs designed for graduate students and early-career professionals. The program challenges participants to recognize their ethical responsibilities as future leaders and professionals with influence in their respective fields. FASPE's unique approach examines the roles and behavior of professionals during the Holocaust (1933-1945) as a framework for understanding ethical responsibility today. Fellowships involve intense study in Germany and Poland, including daily seminars and dialogues at historically significant sites. The curriculum is developed in collaboration with leading historians, ethicists, and practitioners. The experience extends beyond the two weeks in Europe, offering fellows a lifetime network of over 900 alumni and opportunities for continued learning.

Coverage

This is a fully funded fellowship program. FASPE covers all program-related costs and travel expenses. This includes round-trip economy-class airfare, admission fees, all transportation costs for group travel and activities within Germany and Poland, program materials, hotel accommodation, and group meal costs. Additionally, fellows will receive pocket money to cover non-group meals.

Individuals from all nationalities are eligible to apply for the FASPE Fellowships. Applicants must be either graduate students or early-career professionals. They should have an interest in one of the following fields: Business, Design & Technology, the Clergy, Journalism, Law, or Medical.
