Overview

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is the University of Toronto's most prestigious award for international students, recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and creativity.

Coverage

The scholarship is fully funded, covering tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years of undergraduate study.

Eligibility

Open to international students (non-Canadian) from any country. Applicants must be in their final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2024. Students already attending post-secondary studies are not eligible.

Requirements

Applicants must be nominated by their high school. Each school can nominate only one student per year. You must also apply for an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto to be considered.

How to apply

1. Ask your school guidance counselor or principal if your school is eligible to nominate you. 2. Your school must submit a nomination form by October 9, 2026. 3. Apply for admission to an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto by October 16, 2026. 4. Once nominated and an application for admission is submitted, you will receive access to the official scholarship application form.

Students must begin their studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027.
