Overview

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship is a prestigious fully-funded opportunity for outstanding international undergraduate students to study at the University of Toronto in Canada. It recognizes exceptional academic achievement, creativity, and leadership potential. Approximately 37 scholarships are awarded annually, allowing students to pursue their academic careers in diverse fields.

Coverage

This scholarship is fully funded, covering full tuition fees for four years, a book allowance, incidental costs, and full accommodation.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to all international students who are not Canadian nationals. Applicants must be nominated by their high school. Eligible candidates include current students in their final year of secondary school or those who graduated no earlier than June 2026. Applicants must have applied to study at the University of Toronto for September 2027 entry and must not have started post-secondary studies at any institution.

To be considered, applicants must be nominated by their high school, apply for an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto, and complete the online Pearson Scholarship application. How to apply

1. Apply for an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto for September 2027 entry. You may select up to three programs, but the scholarship will be awarded for your first-choice program. 2. Ask your high school to nominate you for the Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarship. Each participating school can nominate one student per year. If your high school has not participated before, it must first apply to join the Pearson Scholarship program. 3. After your school nominates you and you submit your University of Toronto application, you will receive a personalized and secure link to the Pearson Scholarship application. 4. Complete the online Pearson Scholarship application and submit all required documents before the official deadline.

Notes

The deadline for high school nominations is October 9, 2026. The deadline for the University of Toronto application (OUAC) is October 16, 2026. The final Pearson Scholarship application deadline is November 9, 2026. The scholarship is awarded for the first-choice program at the time scholarship decisions are made.
