Coverage
The Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships fully cover the online study and assessment costs for the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma program. Successful recipients will not pay tuition and exam fees. However, the scholarship does not provide living stipends, travel reimbursements, housing assistance, or funds for visas. Learners are expected to manage their own personal expenses, study space, and internet access during the qualification period.
Eligibility
This scholarship is open to both UK and international applicants, including students from Ethiopia. Candidates must already hold either the NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or the NEBOSH National General Certificate. This scholarship is not intended for individuals who are entirely new to the field of workplace safety.
Requirements
Applicants must provide comprehensive written responses, evidence of their existing NEBOSH General Certificate qualification, and any other supporting documentation. Applications that exceed the word limit or contain generic, repetitive, or artificial intelligence-generated content may be rejected. Successful scholarship recipients will be required to agree to specific study schedules and future promotional participation obligations.
How to apply
Applications for the 2026 Michael Adamson NEBOSH Diploma Scholarships opened on May 28, 2026. Interested candidates must submit their applications through the official NEBOSH application portal on the NEBOSH website. It is strongly advised that applicants carefully read all program application instructions before applying.
Notes
The scholarship honors Michael Adamson, who died in a preventable workplace incident in 2005. His sister, Louise Adamson, is actively involved in the scholarship selection process. The program is part of NEBOSH's broader initiative to enhance professional competence in sectors where safety lapses can have deadly consequences. The judging panel comprises senior NEBOSH leadership, previous scholarship holders, and working safety experts from the UK and other countries. Preference is given to candidates who can demonstrate a clear, long-term commitment to improving occupational health standards in their communities or industries, possess practical safety experience, and show potential for direct workplace impact.
