Overview

The University of Melbourne is offering 600 Graduate Research Scholarships in Australia for outstanding students worldwide. These scholarships are available for both international and domestic students pursuing Masters by Research or Doctoral degrees.

Coverage

This is a fully-funded scholarship. It includes a full fee waiver for up to two years for Masters by Research students and up to four years for doctoral students. Scholars will receive a living allowance of $39,500 per year. A relocation grant of $2000 is provided for students moving from other Australian States or Territories, and $3000 for those moving from outside Australia. International students who require a student visa will also receive Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

Eligibility

These scholarships are open to all nationalities, including Ethiopian students. Applicants must have applied for and meet the requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne, or be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the university. Selection is based on academic merit and demonstrated research potential in their chosen field.

Requirements

Applicants are generally required to submit a CV, academic transcripts, and other relevant supporting documents as part of their graduate research course application.

How to apply

New students who apply for a graduate research course at the University of Melbourne before the application deadline will be automatically considered for this scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application form required for most new applicants. After submitting your course application, you will receive a notification that a scholarship application has been added to your record. If you are a deferred or current student, you may need to submit an online scholarship application form before the deadline.
