Overview

The USTC International Winter Camp 2027 is a 10-day program held at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in Hefei, China. It runs from December 19, 2026, to January 1, 2027. The camp offers basic Chinese courses, academic lectures, lab tours, Chinese cultural immersion, and opportunities to explore further study at USTC. It is open to undergraduate and master's level students, as well as recent graduates.

Coverage

This program is potentially fully funded for outstanding students through the USTC Fellowship. This fellowship may cover a travel subsidy, medical insurance, local accommodation (twin room), and a stipend, either fully or partially. The standard program fee is 3000 CNY, which includes tuition, accommodation, and field trips. Please note that insurance and international travel expenses are not included in the base program fee.

Eligibility

Ethiopian students are eligible to apply. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport, be in good mental and physical health, and have a good command of English. You must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program, or be a recent graduate who wishes to pursue further studies. Applicants who have previously participated in a USTC International Winter or Summer Camp are not eligible.

Requirements

Applicants need a valid foreign passport, proof of current enrollment in an undergraduate or master's program (or proof of graduation), and demonstrated good English proficiency. All academic backgrounds are welcome.
