Overview

This is a 10-week, fully funded fellowship program in Cambridge, United Kingdom, designed for researchers and entrepreneurs focused on mitigating risks from advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI). The fellowship will run from July 6 to September 11, 2026. Participants will work on research projects under expert mentorship, develop skills for AI safety or policy careers, and engage in networking and learning opportunities. The program focuses on three domains: Technical AI Governance, AI Governance, and Technical AI Safety.

Coverage

This is a fully funded fellowship. It includes a competitive stipend for the 10-week duration, complimentary accommodation in Cambridge, meals during working hours, and coverage of all program-related expenses, including travel to and from Cambridge and visa fees. There is no application fee.

Eligibility

Applications are open to individuals aged 18 or older from any nationality, including Ethiopian students. The program welcomes talented individuals from around the world at any career stage. Specifically, it invites PhD students, early-career researchers, employed professionals, and creative individuals whose work aligns with ERA’s mission. There are no formal education requirements, and an IELTS score is not required.

Requirements

Applicants must submit a CV, a passport (valid until at least May 2026), and any other relevant supporting documents.
