The Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) to support talented individuals from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries to pursue full-time taught Master’s degrees in the UK. Coverage

- Approved airfare from the home country to the UK and return. - Full tuition fees. - Monthly stipend (£1,712/month or £2,000/month for London-based universities). - Study travel grant. - Child allowance for single, widowed, or divorced parents (if children live with the scholar in the UK).

Eligibility

- Must be a citizen of or have refugee status in an eligible Commonwealth country (Ethiopia is not a Commonwealth member, but please verify your specific status if you hold dual citizenship with a Commonwealth nation). - Must be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country. - Must be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.

Requirements

- Hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree plus a relevant postgraduate qualification (Master’s). - Must be available to start studies in the UK by September 2027. - Provide three references, including one from a current employer. - Submit a Development Impact statement.
