Coverage

This is a fully-funded scholarship. Benefits include: - Full tuition fee waiver (3,607,000 won per semester). - Monthly stipend: 140,000 won for MS students and 295,000 won for PhD students. - Meal allowance: Approximately 100,000 won (requires completion of at least 9 credits in the previous semester). - International student allowance: 120,000 won (requires a GPA of 3.0 or higher out of 4.5 in the previous semester). - Research assistantship: 6,400,000 won per year for MS students and 13,740,000 won per year for PhD students participating in research projects. - Reimbursement for a one-way flight to Korea. - 60% coverage of National Health Insurance, including annual medical checkups.

Eligibility

Applicants must be international students (Korean citizens with dual citizenship are not eligible). You must hold or expect to hold a final degree (Bachelor's for MS, Master's for PhD) before enrollment at GIST (by the first week of January 2027 for spring admission). Your bachelor's degree must be equivalent to a Korean bachelor's degree. Proficiency in English is required, demonstrated by an official test report (TOEFL (BT) 80 / TOEFL (PBT) 550 / IELTS 6.5 / TOEIC 750 / NEW TEPS 327) or a professional English language proficiency certificate from your home university if test results are not available in time.

Requirements

Required documents include official degrees and transcripts (apostilled or notarized copies are acceptable), two letters of recommendation with signatures and stamps from the recommenders, an official English language test report or proficiency certificate, and a copy of your passport.

Regularly check your email for notifications or interview requests from the GIST Admissions Team. 4. Respond to your admission results before the given deadline. 5.
