Overview

Swinburne University of Technology offers several merit-based scholarships for international students commencing qualifying undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs at the Hawthorn campus in Melbourne, Australia.

Coverage

The scholarships provide tuition fee reductions ranging from 20% to 30% for the standard duration of the degree. The ELICOS+ scholarship offers a refund of up to 10 weeks of English language course tuition. These awards do not cover living expenses, travel, health insurance, or other non-tuition costs.

Eligibility

Open to international students (including Ethiopian citizens). Australian and New Zealand citizens and permanent residents are ineligible. Applicants must be commencing their studies for the first time at the Hawthorn campus.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen course. Specific programs like the Bachelor of Aviation, Nursing, and certain master's degrees (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, research degrees) are excluded.

How to apply

There is no separate application process. Students are automatically evaluated for these scholarships when they apply for an eligible course through the Swinburne international application portal or an authorized representative.

Notes

Students cannot hold multiple Swinburne tuition discounts simultaneously. The university will apply the most beneficial arrangement if a student qualifies for more than one.
