Overview

The Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (GUIPRS) supports high-achieving international students to pursue a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program, specifically Master’s by research or Doctoral degrees, at Griffith University in Australia.

Coverage

The scholarship covers full tuition fees for up to three and a half years for doctoral programs and up to two years for research master’s programs. It also provides Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the recipient and their dependents, and covers Student Services and Amenities Fees.

Eligibility

Open to international students (non-domestic) who do not hold Australian permanent residency or New Zealand citizenship. Applicants must meet the academic entry requirements for the HDR program at Griffith University.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours (Class I) or equivalent. Candidates must not have previously held an equivalent scholarship or a Commonwealth Government Australia Award in the two years prior to starting. Selection is based on academic merit, research background, and the compatibility between the applicant and the research supervision team.

Notes

Applicants may apply for scholarship consideration a maximum of two times within a five-year period. If receiving other funding for living expenses, applicants must provide evidence of at least AUD 36,000 per year.
