Overview

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Fellows Program provides full-tuition scholarships for professionals to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH) or Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree. The program is designed for individuals currently working with organizations to address critical public health challenges.

Coverage

The fellowship covers full tuition for the selected degree program. Fellows remain employed by their collaborating organizations during their studies and must commit to working with them for at least one year following graduation.

Eligibility

The program is open to professionals currently working with organizations that address one of the program’s five focus areas. Note: The applicant's work and the collaborating organization's work in the selected focus area must be based in the United States.

Requirements

Applicants must be admitted to the MPH or DrPH program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Applicants must have a collaborating organization that commits to employing them for at least one year post-graduation. DrPH applicants must already hold an MPH or equivalent degree.

How to apply

1. Apply to the MPH or DrPH program via SOPHAS by December 1, 2026. 2. Submit the Fellowship Applicant Form via the Submittable portal. 3. Ensure your collaborating organization submits the Collaborating Organization Form via the same Submittable portal by the deadline.

Notes

This fellowship is structured as a grant that may convert to a loan if the service commitment terms are not met. Applicants cannot apply to both the MPH and DrPH programs in the same cycle.
