Overview

The KAUST Microelectronics Winter Camp (MEWC) is a fully sponsored six-week research internship program at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia. It is designed for undergraduate and master's students interested in microelectronics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, and related fields. Participants will engage in hands-on research projects under the mentorship of KAUST faculty and experts, focusing on enhancing technical and innovative skills in modern electronics. The program runs from January 4 to February 11, 2027.

Coverage

This is a fully funded program. It provides a stipend to cover living expenses at KAUST, free accommodation on the KAUST campus, and logistics and visa support (including booking flights and airport transfers). Participants will also have access to world-class research facilities and resources, and will receive a certificate of completion upon successful program conclusion.

Eligibility

Candidates from all countries are eligible. Applicants should be recent graduates, senior undergraduates, or current master’s students in a discipline related to electrical and computer engineering. A cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.00 or higher is required, along with strong English language proficiency and a demonstrated motivation to work on research projects.

Requirements

Required documents include an up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV), official transcripts (in English), and a copy of a passport for non-Saudi applicants or a national ID for Saudi applicants.
