Overview

The OECD Internship Program offers students worldwide a chance to gain international experience, working with experts on global issues like climate change, education, and economic development. Interns support research, prepare reports, and participate in meetings, learning about global policy-making. The program is flexible, allowing in-person, remote, or hybrid work. Most internships are based in Paris, France, but limited opportunities may be available in other OECD offices like Berlin, Tokyo, and Washington D.C. The duration is typically 1 to 6 months, extendable up to 12 months.

Coverage

Interns receive a monthly stipend of €1000 to cover their expenses.

Eligibility

This internship is open to international students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. Applicants must remain enrolled for the entire duration of the internship. A good command of either English or French is required.

Requirements

Applicants need a good command of English or French, with an openness to learning the second language being an advantage. Basic writing and communication skills are expected, and some IT and research skills are helpful. Candidates should be comfortable working in a diverse, international environment.

How to apply

To apply, visit the official OECD internship website, create an account, and complete the application form. Carefully fill in your details, write a cover letter in the designated section, and choose up to three areas of interest. After submission, selected candidates may be invited for an interview or a short test.

Notes

There is no fixed deadline for the OECD Internship Program, as applications are accepted throughout the year. It is advisable to apply a few months before your preferred start date. IELTS is not required.
