The program provides mentorship from top Reuters editors, supervision from Durham University, and access to university academics and research resources, aiming to develop rigorous, fact-based research and reporting skills.

This is a fully-funded fellowship. Fellows will receive a monthly salary of approximately £4,444 (equivalent to a pro-rata salary of c.£53,333 per year). Additionally, a living stipend of £1,250 per month and a one-time payment of £1,800 for travel and related expenses are provided.
Eligibility
The fellowship is a global opportunity open to applicants worldwide. Candidates should possess two to five years of professional experience in journalism. Applicants not currently working as journalists but with investigative experience in related fields (e.g., working as an author or researcher on authoritative investigative work, or developing in-field photo or video research projects, documentaries, or exhibitions) may also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applications from members of groups under-represented in journalism are encouraged. Successful candidates must meet the applicable immigration requirements for the fellowship country.
Requirements
Applicants must submit the following documents:
* A short statement (up to 500 words) describing themselves, their aspirations for the fellowship, and how their vision of journalism aligns with the program.
* A detailed proposal (600-800 words) for an investigative project to be undertaken during the fellowship. The online form may initially only accept up to 600 words, with the full proposal uploaded separately.
* A one or two-page CV/Resume, including a link to their LinkedIn profile.
* Examples of their work.
* A letter of recommendation.
All application materials and work samples must be submitted in English. Any work originally produced in another language should be translated into English before submission.
How to apply
The application process involves completing an online application form. Applicants will need to provide the required documents, including the short statement and detailed proposal. Upon successful completion of the initial form, applicants will receive an email with a link to a folder where they can upload their full proposal (if longer than 600 words), CV, work examples, and recommendations.
