Overview

The Sisters in Public Health Scholarship aims to empower, educate, and support the next generation of women in public health. Established in 2017, Sisters in Public Health provides a safe and empowering environment for women to discuss leadership, self-care, and overcoming challenges in their careers.

Coverage

Three $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually in August. The scholarship amount is $1,000 per recipient.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to women who are public health students attending school in the United States. Applicants must identify as a woman in public health and maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Basic membership status with Sisters in Public Health is required. Specific eligibility criteria by academic level: - Bachelor's Program: Must have completed at least the first year of the program and be a full-time student. - Master's Program: Must have completed at least one term and can be a part-time or full-time student. - Doctorate Program: Must have completed at least one term and can be a part-time or full-time student.

How to apply

All application components must be submitted via the electronic scholarship application form in one complete submission. The deadline for submission is Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST. Official transcripts from the institution and letters of recommendation from the recommender(s) are the only exceptions and may be sent directly to [email protected].

It is highly recommended that you become a basic member of Sisters in Public Health at least two weeks prior to submitting your application. Member certificates are typically emailed within five business days of applying for membership, ensuring you have it in time for your submission.
