This is a non-paid internship. Interns are responsible for their own visa, travel, and comprehensive health insurance for the full duration of the program. They will gain exposure by working in a UN specialized agency and receive training and guidance from experienced professionals.

This internship is open to students and recent graduates from around the world, including Ethiopian students. Applicants must be at least 20 years old at the time of application. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate program (such as a Master’s, PhD, second university degree, or higher). If already graduated, they must have done so within the past 12 months from a Master’s, PhD, or second degree. Those with only a completed bachelor’s degree who are not pursuing further studies are not eligible. For secretarial/assistant or technical/professional assignments, candidates should be enrolled in or recently graduated (within the last year) from a specialized technical, professional, or secretarial institute and be in their final year of studies. A strong command of English or French is essential, along with a good understanding of computer systems and standard office software. Interns must be able to work as part of a diverse and multicultural team and demonstrate good interpersonal skills and clear, professional communication.

Required documents for application include a medical certificate, ID, certificate of enrolment (if currently a student), and a diploma (if already graduated).
