Overview

The UNU Finance Internship 2026-27 is a six-month remote internship offered by the United Nations University (UNU), starting in October 2026. Interns will support UNU-Centre Finance in areas such as financial data analysis, reporting, budgeting, policy development, and financial documentation, gaining practical experience in an international organizational setting.

Coverage

Eligible interns who do not receive financial support from another source will receive a stipend from UNU to partially support their basic living costs. This internship provides valuable practical experience, professional development, and exposure to the UNU's work and values.

Eligibility

This internship is open to candidates studying Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Applicants must be in their final year of undergraduate studies, enrolled in a graduate degree program, or within two years of completing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree. Required skills include strong attention to detail and accuracy, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Excellent written and oral English communication skills are mandatory. Knowledge of ERP systems, data visualization tools, and another UN language will be considered an advantage. Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.

Requirements
