Overview

The World Health Summit 2026 Stipend & Fellowship Program offered a fully funded opportunity to attend the World Health Summit in Berlin, Germany. This 3-day international event, held from October 11 to 13, 2026, brought together experts, policymakers, and professionals to discuss critical global health issues. The program aimed to support participants from low- and middle-income countries.

Coverage

This was a fully funded program. Selected participants received round-trip economy class flights to and from Berlin, accommodation for four nights (October 10–14, 2026) with breakfast included, and full registration for the World Health Summit 2026, which covered access to all sessions and meals. Additionally, up to €200 was reimbursed for local transport and daily needs, and up to €200 for visa and passport costs. Participants also received an invitation to the official World Health Summit Kick-Off Reception.

Eligibility

The program was open to applicants who held nationality of and resided in a low- or middle-income country (Ethiopia qualifies under this criterion) or had relevant lived experience. Candidates needed to demonstrate active engagement in global health through professional work, advocacy, or community involvement. Fluency in English, the conference language, was required, and applicants had to be eligible to apply for a short-term Schengen visa. IELTS was not required.

Requirements

Applicants were required to submit personal information, including their country of nationality and residence, a Curriculum Vitae (CV), a motivation letter (1–2 pages) explaining their interest, and proof of their engagement in global health (e.g., work, advocacy, or a recommendation).

How to apply

Interested candidates were instructed to apply via the official online application form. The application process involved filling in basic details, uploading a CV, writing a motivation letter, and providing proof of involvement in global health. Applications were reviewed on a rolling basis, and early submission was strongly encouraged due to limited spots.

Notes

The application process for the World Health Summit 2026 Stipend & Fellowship Program officially closed on April 27, 2026, after receiving an overwhelming number of applications (7,000). Therefore, applications are no longer being accepted for this specific program cycle.
