About Germany Scholarships
Germany is one of the most accessible scholarship destinations for Ethiopian students. Public German universities charge no tuition fees for most degree programs, and the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) funds hundreds of Ethiopian students annually through bachelor's, master's, PhD, and postdoctoral scholarships. The Helmholtz Association and DFG also offer research fellowships. Most programs require B2-level German or IELTS 6.0+ for English-taught programs. Germany is particularly strong in engineering, natural sciences, economics, and public health.
