The AICP Scholarship Program, sponsored by The Association of Insurance Compliance Professionals (AICP), offers financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing studies in insurance, actuarial science, economics, finance, management, mathematics, risk management, statistics, or other business-related fields.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to undergraduate students who have completed at least two years of full-time college coursework (or 50% of required credit hours for graduation, or an Associate degree) and graduate students. Applicants must be full-time students as defined by their accredited educational institution. A declared major in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics, or a Business-related field is required. Applicants must maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.00. There are no explicit nationality restrictions mentioned, making Ethiopian students eligible.

Requirements

Required documents include a completed application form, an official transcript showing the cumulative grade point average, a brief description of additional academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and leadership roles, a description of current and future efforts to pursue education and/or a career in the insurance field, and a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, business or civic leader, or member of the clergy directly addressing the applicant’s efforts in the insurance field.
