Overview

The Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders (ADEL) Program 2026 is a fully funded leadership development initiative for young professionals and change-makers from the Atlantic Basin region. It is primarily organized by the Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) in collaboration with the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF). The program takes place annually in Rabat, Morocco, from December 6 to 12, 2026. It provides a platform for participants to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and collaborate on pressing challenges facing the Atlantic community, covering topics such as security, governance, economic development, energy, climate change, and social issues. The program includes workshops, seminars, panel discussions, networking events, and site visits, fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. Participants will also join the Atlantic Dialogues conference.

Coverage

This is a fully funded program. It covers the cost of economy class flights, free local transportation within Morocco, catering facilities during the program, and quality hotel accommodation for the duration of the program and conference dates.

Eligibility

Applicants must be between 25 and 35 years old as of December 6, 2026. Fluency in English is required, both for written and spoken communication. Candidates must be citizens or residents of countries in Africa, Europe, the Americas, or the Caribbean. Ethiopian students are eligible as Ethiopia is an African country. Applicants should have significant professional experience in their field and be engaged in roles involving responsibility, influence, or decision-making. Participants must confirm their availability to attend the entire six-day program from December 6 to 12, 2026.
