Overview

The COP31 Climate Change Media Partnership (CCMP) Reporting Fellowship is a prestigious program for journalists to cover the 31st United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) in Antalya, Turkey, from November 9–20, 2026. The fellowship aims to improve reporting skills and raise awareness of climate issues in the participants' home countries.

Coverage

The fellowship is fully funded, covering round-trip airfare, accommodation, local transportation, visa costs, conference accreditation, and logistical support. It also provides editorial mentoring and networking opportunities with international climate specialists.

Eligibility

Open to professional or creative journalists from low- or middle-income countries (including Ethiopia) who have demonstrated experience reporting on environmental or climate change issues.

Requirements

Applicants must provide an updated CV/resume, a reporting proposal or story idea, a letter of endorsement from their editor or media organization, and recent work samples related to climate change. A video introduction may also be required.
