Overview

This scholarship is awarded annually by the law firm of Bogin, Munns & Munns. It aims to support students who have a personal or professional interest in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and to raise awareness about this preventable disability.

Coverage

The scholarship provides a one-time award of $2,500 USD.

Eligibility

Applicants must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited university, college, or graduate school located in the United States. While open to all nationalities, the study must be conducted within the U.S.

Requirements

Applicants must submit an original 1-2 minute video (posted as an unlisted YouTube video) OR a 1,000-word essay (in PDF format). The submission should address the following topic: "In what ways has Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder affected you or why do you have a particular interest in the topic? How have these challenges or your interest in Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder shaped the future you see for yourself?" It is important to focus on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) rather than Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS).

How to apply

To apply, students must complete and submit the application form available directly on the scholarship page. This form will allow you to submit the link to your unlisted YouTube video or upload your essay in PDF format, along with any other required documentation.

Notes

The deadline for applications is July 15, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be considered. The host organization regrets that, for legal reasons, they cannot accept calls, emails, or other communications regarding the scholarship, or answer questions other than those submitted through the application form.
