Coverage

This scholarship provides full tuition fee coverage for an approved graduate course. Please note that the scholarship is reviewed each semester, and its continuation for subsequent semesters is not guaranteed.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to all international students from any country. Ethiopian students are eligible. Applicants must secure an offer of admission to an eligible Master's or Doctoral program at Kyungpook National University. Eligible programs include Master's and Doctoral degrees (2 years each) and combined Master's & Doctoral programs (4 years).

Requirements

To be considered for admission (which leads to scholarship consideration), applicants typically need to submit: a completed application form, a Statement of Purpose and Study Plan, a Recommendation Letter (to be sent directly by the professor or in a sealed envelope), degree certificates or certificates of expected graduation from previous universities, official transcripts, language proficiency test results (e.g., TOPIK, IELTS, TOEFL iBT), a Certificate of Enrollment and Transcript from a Korean Language Institute (if applicable), a copy of the applicant’s passport, a birth certificate or family census register, and a portfolio (if applying to Fine Art or Design departments). A copy of the Applicant’s Alien Registration Card (front & back) may also be required, likely for those already residing in Korea.

How to apply

There is no separate application process for the KNU International Graduate Scholarship. All eligible candidates who are successfully admitted and enrolled in an approved graduate program at Kyungpook National University will be automatically considered for this scholarship. Prospective students should first apply for admission to their desired Master's or Doctoral program at the university. Further details can be found in the KNU admission guide book on the official university website.
