Max Planck Internships in Germany 2027 (Fully Funded)

Max Planck Institutes in Germany offer fully funded research internships in Computer Science. These internships are designed for Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral students, as well as exceptional industry professionals, to engage in world-class research, explore new study concepts, and work directly with academic mentors. The typical duration is 12 to 14 weeks, with possibilities for longer periods.

This is a fully funded internship. It covers a monthly stipend, accommodation costs, and round-trip travel expenses from the candidate's home country to the host institute in Germany.

The internship is open to students of all nationalities, including Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral students, and outstanding members of the industry interested in gaining experience in academic computer science research. Applicants from diverse academic backgrounds, including those with interdisciplinary interests (e.g., social science, economics, law, humanities), are encouraged. Applications from under-represented groups in computer science and other STEM fields are particularly welcome. Applicants should have a basic background in computer science and be able to communicate effectively in English.

Required documents include a CV, academic transcripts, and contact information for at least one reference. A motivational letter is optional. For travel purposes, a valid passport and National Identity Card are needed, along with any other relevant travel documents.
