Overview

The OIST Research Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in a world-class environment under the direction of OIST faculty. The program is designed for students interested in pursuing a PhD at OIST.

Coverage

This is a fully funded internship. Benefits include roundtrip airfare, visa support, on or off-campus housing, commuting support, and a daily stipend of 2,400 JPY (taxable).

Eligibility

Open to international students from all countries, including Ethiopia. Applicants must be enrolled in the final two years of a bachelor's degree, or any year of a master's degree, or be recent graduates of such programs. Current students must have approval from their home institution.

Requirements

Applicants must submit a Curriculum Vitae (CV), a statement of interest, a letter of recommendation, academic transcripts, and an ID photo. All documents must be in English and submitted as PDFs.
