Overview

The UNDP Digital AI and Innovation Internship 2026 is a remote, paid internship program offered by the Digital AI and Innovation (DAI) Hub under the Bureau for Policy and Programme Support (BPPS). It aims to provide students and recent graduates with professional experience in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, data governance, and sustainable development.

Coverage

Interns receive a monthly stipend from the UNDP. The internship is home-based (remote).

Eligibility

Open to applicants of all nationalities. Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate degree program, in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, or have recently graduated (within one year of graduation).

Requirements

Fluency in English is mandatory. Candidates should have an interest in digital transformation, AI, innovation, data, policy, or communications. Previous experience or knowledge in these workstreams is desirable.

How to apply

Applicants must complete the online UNDP application form via the official portal and submit an updated CV and cover letter in English. Additionally, an Airtable application form must be completed as part of the process.

Notes

Interns will support research, data analysis, policy briefs, digital product design, and strategic communications. The deadline for applications is September 30, 2026.
