Overview

The University of Milan DSU Scholarship 2026-27 offers an excellent opportunity for international students, including those from Ethiopia, to pursue Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degrees at the University of Milan in Italy. This scholarship is provided by a publicly funded institution and aims to support students financially across a wide range of academic disciplines.

Coverage

This scholarship can be fully funded for winners, providing complete exemption from university fees and one free midday meal from Monday to Saturday. Partial winners receive a 50% exemption from university fees. Additionally, eligible students participating in international mobility programs may receive a supplement of €600 per month for up to ten months, along with reimbursement of travel expenses up to €100 for European countries and up to €500 for non-European countries. Female students enrolled in eligible STEM degree programs and students with eligible disabilities may receive a 20% increase in their scholarship amount.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to both Italian and international students from all over the world. Applicants must be regularly enrolled in a degree program (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) at the University of Milan and must meet specific academic merit and income requirements. Students enrolled in vocational master’s programs, postgraduate medical schools, or PhD students who are already receiving another scholarship or research grant are generally not eligible. Applicants should not disrupt the regular advancement of their current program. Newly admitted first-year undergraduate and single-cycle Master’s degree students are required to participate in a degree-specific aptitude test. Applicants must not be enrolled in a part-time program and should not be re-enrolling in a program level they have previously completed.

Requirements

To qualify, students need an offer of admission to the University of Milan for a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. They must meet the specified academic merit and income criteria. For first-year students, participation in a degree-specific aptitude test is required. While IELTS is not mandatory, applicants are generally expected to provide proof of English language proficiency. Applicants must not be receiving another scholarship for the same program year.
