The University of Siena in Italy offers International Excellence Scholarships for distinguished international students pursuing Master's degree programs taught in English. These grants aim to enhance the international diversity of its academic programs for the academic year 2026/2027.
Coverage
Each scholarship provides €6,000 annually (gross amount), renewable for a second year, totaling €12,000 over two years. This amount is intended to support living expenses and other costs.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Not hold Italian citizenship (except for individuals with dual citizenship that includes Italian).
- Have earned a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree that qualifies for admission to Master’s degree programs.
- Not be a resident of Italy. For the purposes of this scholarship, residents of Italy include Non-EU citizens with a valid residence permit allowing enrollment in an Italian university without a new student Visa, and EU/EU-equated citizens who have continuously resided in Italy for more than 9 months.
- Have applied for any of the eligible English-taught Master’s degree programs offered by the University of Siena.
- Demonstrate English proficiency at level B2 or higher.
Requirements
- A Bachelor/Undergraduate diploma (or higher).
- Proof of English language proficiency (B2 or higher).
- Payment of a non-refundable and non-waivable scholarship application fee.
How to apply
1. First, you must apply for admission to one of the eligible Master's degree programs at the University of Siena through their online application system (apply.unisi.it).
2. After securing admission, you can then apply for the scholarship using the specific scholarship application link provided on the University's admission portal.
