Overview

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Program 2027 offers fully funded Master's scholarships at the University of Oxford in the UK. This program is designed for academically brilliant students from developing and emerging countries, aiming to cultivate future leaders who can drive positive change in their home countries after completing their studies.

Coverage

This is a fully funded scholarship covering 100% of all university and college fees. Scholars will also receive a living grant of at least £21,805 to cover living expenses. Beyond financial support, the scholarship includes a comprehensive leadership development program, long-term mentoring, networking opportunities, and a chance to learn about European culture and history. The scholarship covers the entire duration of the eligible Master's programs.

Eligibility

Ethiopian students are eligible as the scholarship is open to students from developing and emerging countries. Applicants must apply for a new full-time graduate studies program (Master's level) at the University of Oxford. Students currently studying at the University of Oxford are not eligible unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholars. Applicants holding deferred offers to start in the 2026-27 academic year are also not eligible. Successful candidates must demonstrate a desire to contribute to the global community through their chosen profession, clearly link their field of study to long-term career objectives, and envision how their professional contributions will benefit their home country. A key requirement is that applicants must return to their country of ordinary residence once their course is completed.

Requirements

To be considered, applicants must apply for a new full-time graduate studies program at the University of Oxford. If applying for an MBA or MFE, a complete application for that program is required. Candidates must select the "Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme" in the Scholarships section of the University of Oxford graduate application form. Additionally, applicants need to complete and upload the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement form for the 2027-28 entry as part of their program application. All required documents must be uploaded in PDF format.

How to apply

The application process is entirely online through the official University of Oxford graduate admissions website. First, you must apply for your chosen Master's program at the University of Oxford. During this application process, you will need to indicate your interest in the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme by selecting it in the scholarships section. Ensure all required fields, including personal information, academic record, professional and volunteer experience, and other specific requirements, are thoroughly completed and submitted before the deadline.

Notes

Applications for the scholarship will be reviewed after each MBA admissions stage. Final shortlisted candidates will be invited for scholarship interviews, typically held in late April or early May. While the scholarship deadline is January 8, 2027, applicants are strongly advised to also check the specific application deadlines for their chosen Master's course at the University of Oxford.
