Overview

Applications are open for the WHO Internship 2026 in Germany. This is a paid internship opportunity for students and recent graduates to work as an Intern – Collaborative Analysis at the WHO Hub for Pandemic and Epidemic Intelligence in Berlin, Germany. The internship aims to provide hands-on experience in global health, data analysis, epidemiology, and pandemic intelligence. The program will last for 24 weeks, starting on October 19, 2026. There is no application fee.

Coverage

Selected interns will receive a monthly living allowance of up to €1,488 for those who are not German citizens, or up to €684 for interns residing in Berlin. Additionally, daily lunch vouchers and medical and accident insurance will be provided.

Eligibility

Applicants must be at least 20 years of age at the time of application and be a citizen of a WHO Member State (Ethiopia is a WHO Member State, making Ethiopian students eligible). Candidates must be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, currently enrolled in a master’s or PhD program, or have graduated within the last six months. A background in public health, epidemiology, statistics, data science, medicine, health informatics, international relations, social sciences, or another relevant field is required. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of another WHO official language is an advantage. Applicants must not have previously participated in the WHO Internship Program.

Applicants should prepare and submit an updated CV or Resume, a Motivation Letter, proof of enrollment or graduation, academic transcripts (if requested), a valid passport, and any additional documents specified in the online application.
