Overview

The World Bank Treasury Summer Internship 2027 is a paid, full-time, 10-week program for exceptional undergraduate students. The program takes place in Washington, DC, USA, and interns will rotate through three different Treasury teams.

Coverage

This is a paid internship opportunity. Non-U.S. citizens will be paid approximately $22.70 net per hour, while U.S. citizens will receive $27.70 gross per hour, for a total of 400 hours. Benefits include visa sponsorship (if required), full-time professional experience within the World Bank Treasury, three team rotations, professional mentoring, technical and career development sessions, exposure to financial markets and development finance, networking opportunities, a capstone project experience, and a World Bank laptop.

Eligibility

The internship is open to both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens, including Ethiopian students. Applicants must be enrolled in the second-to-last year of an equivalent four-year undergraduate degree program and be expected to graduate between December 2027 and September 2028. A demonstrated interest in finance, business, economics, or a related field is required, along with good academic standing. Applicants must be available to work full-time for the entire internship duration (June 1 to August 9, 2027) and not have another concurrent employment contract or internship.
