Overview

The Yale Peace Fellowship 2027 is a fully funded program for emerging leaders and peace activists focused on conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Hosted by the International Leadership Center at Yale University, this fellowship selects 14 promising peace fellows. The program is hybrid, involving biweekly virtual sessions from March to June 2027, followed by in-person seminars at Yale University in the USA and Rose Castle in the United Kingdom.

Coverage

This is a fully funded fellowship. It covers all travel expenses, accommodation, meals, and other program-related costs for the required in-person components of the program.

Eligibility

Applicants from all countries, including Ethiopia, are eligible to apply. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in peacekeeping and reconciliation, strong leadership skills, and a dedication to cross-cultural understanding. Fluency in the English language is required. Selected participants must be fully available to attend all three program components: virtual sessions and the in-person events in the USA and UK.

Requirements

Required documents include a Resume/CV, a brief video statement, a personal statement, and one letter of recommendation. A valid passport will also be needed.

How to apply

To apply, first create an account using your email address and password. You will receive a PIN to enter. Proceed to fill out the online application form with your personal and professional information. Upload all required materials, select your English proficiency level, and upload your personal statement based on the provided prompt. You must also add details for your recommender and record a video statement directly through the application form (online links are not accepted). Finally, read the terms and conditions, type your full name as a signature, review your application thoroughly, and click 'Confirm' to submit.

Notes

The program runs from March to June 2027. The in-person seminar at Yale University (USA) is scheduled from April 12 to 16, 2027. A closing convening will take place at Rose Castle in the United Kingdom from June 14 to 18, 2027. Fellows will gain leadership and negotiation skills, learn from international experts, and join a global network of peace leaders.
