The Z Zurich Foundation Scholarship, in collaboration with One Young World, offers a fully funded opportunity for young African leaders to attend the One Young World Summit 2026. The Z Zurich Foundation aims to empower vulnerable people and create brighter futures, focusing on adapting to climate change, improving mental well-being, enabling social equity, and responding to crises. This scholarship specifically supports young leaders working on social equity through education, employability, or entrepreneurship solutions. The summit will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from November 3 to 6, 2026.
Coverage
This is a fully funded scholarship covering all expenses related to the One Young World Summit 2026. Benefits include return air travel, hotel accommodation in Cape Town from November 3 to 6, 2026, catering (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and ground transportation between Summit venues. Scholars will also gain free access to pre- and post-event activities organized by the Z Zurich Foundation, including development sessions and networking opportunities with the Z Zurich Foundation delegation, as well as access to additional scholarship and leadership development programs.
Eligibility
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of the Summit. Candidates must be nationals of and currently living in an African country. They should have a clear track record of creating positive impact in their communities and ideally be leading or actively involved in initiatives focused on youth development, education, employability, or entrepreneurship. Applicants with a formally registered organization that has a clear not-for-profit mission and an official bank account in the organization’s name are eligible. Candidates must demonstrate alignment with the work of the Z Zurich Foundation, particularly in enabling social equity and supporting vulnerable communities.
Requirements
Required documents include a valid National Passport, a National Identity Card or proof of nationality, and proof of leadership or organizational involvement (if applicable). Applicants must provide correct personal information, answer all questions clearly and concisely, and upload all required documents carefully.
