Overview

The Climate Tech Fellowship 2026 is a six-month hybrid program designed to support early-stage innovators in climate technology. It bridges the gap between research and real-world deployment by providing commercialization training, mentorship, and funding to help turn climate solutions into viable ventures.

Coverage

Selected teams receive a $10,000 non-dilutive stipend, expert-led go-to-market curriculum, 1:1 mentorship, networking opportunities with investors and policymakers, and fully-funded travel and accommodation for one team member to attend Climate Week NYC in September 2026.

Eligibility

Open to applicants worldwide, including Ethiopian researchers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and innovators. Company registration and university affiliation are not required.

Requirements

Applicants must be working on an early-stage climate technology with a prototype, pilot, or early commercialization project. You must be interested in commercializing your innovation and able to commit several hours per week from September 2026 to February 2027.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted through the official online portal of The New York Climate Exchange. There is no application fee. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged.

The program focuses on Energy & Urban Resilience, including end-use energy innovation, power generation, energy storage, grid modernization, natural carbon solutions, and urban climate resilience technologies.
