Overview

The Reginald F. Lewis Fellowship at Harvard Law School is a prestigious opportunity for recent law graduates who are preparing for a career in law teaching. Fellows will conduct advanced legal research, hone their writing skills, and investigate significant legal and policy topics in an intellectually stimulating environment. The fellowship aims to support the preparation of at least one major article for publication.

Coverage

This is a fully-funded fellowship. Fellows will receive an annual stipend of $60,000 to cover living costs. Additional benefits include access to Harvard Law School residence halls, the Harvard Library, legal databases, and exposure to international legal and human rights studies.

Eligibility

This fellowship is open to candidates from any country, including Ethiopian students. Applicants must hold a J.D., LL.M, or S.J.D. degree at the time of application. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in legal scholarship and be preparing for a career in law teaching. Fellows are expected to be in residence at Harvard Law School during the academic year.

Requirements

Applicants must submit: * A comprehensive résumé or curriculum vitae. * A detailed research and writing project description (maximum four pages) outlining the work to be undertaken for publication during the fellowship. * A statement of the applicant’s interest in law teaching and legal scholarship (maximum four pages), including a description of the field. * Two letters of recommendation, which must be uploaded directly by the recommenders through the online application process. * Academic Transcripts and Degree Certificates (as applicable to demonstrate degree completion). * Other relevant supporting documents (if applicable).

Notes
