Totonto Mertolitan Unviersity Postdoctoral Research Fellow ($65,000/year + Benefits)

The Global Migration Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University is offering a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. This is a two-year, in-person position located in Toronto, Canada. The fellowship focuses on qualitative research and knowledge mobilization concerning migration and labour market integration in Canada. The fellow will be involved in conducting interviews, analyzing data, drafting reports and presentations, and collaborating with researchers, graduate students, and policymakers. The role also includes supporting externally funded research projects related to international students and temporary migration.

The selected Postdoctoral Research Fellow will receive an annual salary of $65,000 CAD, along with additional benefits. This is a fully-funded opportunity.

Applicants must possess a PhD in Sociology, Geography, Migration Studies, Public Policy, Political Science, or any related social science discipline with a specific focus on migration and labour market integration. Essential qualifications include strong qualitative research skills, academic writing proficiency, publication skills, and practical experience in conducting focus groups and interviews. Candidates must also have experience using qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo. The ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks effectively is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in knowledge mobilization, fluency in different languages, research grant writing skills, and international research experience.
