Overview

The WIPO Fellowship Program, based in Geneva, Switzerland, offers graduates and young professionals the opportunity to gain practical experience within a specialized agency of the United Nations. The program focuses on intellectual property, law, economics, translation, technology, and research.

Coverage

Selected fellows receive a monthly stipend ranging from CHF 3,000 to CHF 8,000, round-trip travel expenses, visa assistance, comprehensive medical and professional accident insurance, paid annual leave (2.5 days per month), and access to professional development and WIPO Academy training.

Eligibility

The program is open to candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those from developing countries like Ethiopia. There is no age limit.

Requirements

Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Some specialized fellowship categories may require a Master’s degree, PhD, or specific professional experience. Excellent written and spoken English is required.
